Dubai Culture and DIFC have launched the Museum of Digital Art (MODA), described as the region's first museum dedicated to digital art and new technologies. It will be developed in the DIFC Zabeel District expansion, designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture.

Plans include five floors of permanent and temporary exhibitions, immersive installations, research and education spaces, and a digital twin so audiences outside Dubai can take part remotely. DIFC leads the development; Dubai Culture will run the museum and set its cultural direction. The opening date and curatorial team have not been announced.

**Why it matters:** a dedicated museum means future commissions, acquisitions, jobs and education programmes for digital artists in Dubai.
